"FCR Proven Pick Six Strategy"

This strategy shows you what to look for in singles for the pick 6 which will be the key to your success in playing the pick 6 wager.

     Mix and match (see below) the 6 legs to suit your wager. Where you see the number 1 is obviously a single pick for that leg and that is going to be the key to success in your pick 6 wagers.

Single picks (AKA Single) can be Value Odds horses who are running in the preferred class level or surface (see list below). Value Odds horses have the center icon on our reports.

The reason to try to get a Value Odds horse as a winning single is that most of the time these horses will win at big odds thus putting you in line to cash a pick 6 that pays very well.

If you have been watching our "Handicapping Videos" then you already know what type of races to look for to have a higher than average shot for a Value Odds or overlay winner:
    Value Odds/Overlay Preferred Races

  • All Starter Allowances Races
    (Ex: Alw 5000s)

  • All Maiden Claiming Races

  • All Maiden Special Weight Races

  • All Claiming races with a condition (Ex nw2l, nw3l, b, etc)

  • All bottom level claiming races

  • All races run over the turf
Singles can also be the SP's (Spot Play) which win at a very high percentage. Usually near 50% long term at most circuits however usually very low odds.

These SP horses have the center icon on our reports.

A very high percentage play is an SP that also has any of the following icons:
    SP's Preferred Icons







By seeing whether your SP or Value Odds horse is in a good spot is the most important in choosing singles in the pick 6.

You determine the cost of your wager by multiplying the number of horses in each race together then by the amount wagered.

For example: 1 x 2 x 2 x 1 x 2 x 1 = 8. Then 8 x $1 = $8. The minimum wager on a Pick 6 is usually $1.
