Big game pick 4 winning tickets can be had by the average horseplayer if the player can accomplish two simple things:

• Have above average chances at cashing pick 4's that pay very well.
• Have those chances without investing a whole lot in the process.

We have discovered a simple way for you to accomplish both! In order to have both you must have a SINGLE in part of the wager and that single needs to be a longshot or overlay with a legitimate chance to win.

The type of horse that goes to post at around 8-1, 10-1, 12-1, 15-1, 20-1, etc. We've got 2 easy ways for you to find these type of longshot singles! You will read about those below.

Hitting a pick 4 like this is not really that hard to do and when you nail a big one it can make your whole year! Just one of them can do that for you. This is a bold way of going after a pick 4 but that's what it takes if you desire to nail one that pays big.

A little bravery mixed with good solid strategy and proven information. All of that makes a recipe for a huge pick 4 payoff. Let your buddy at the racetrack cash the $65 pick 4's. Your hunting much bigger game.

The easy way to find a horse that you need at high odds for your SINGLE in your big pick 4 hunt is by using the following proven angles:

* Please Note: For both of these angles - Because you will be placing advance bets in pick 4 wagers you will use the 8-1 minimum odds rule for morning line odds instead of near post time odds.

Simply make sure when you find a horse that qualifies for the angle that it has morning line odds of 8-1 or higher. That's all, very simple. For our purpose and experience, the higher the odds the better.

One thing worth mentioning right now. As you will be using 15-1, 20-1, 40-1, etc shots as singles in your pick 4's please make sure that you bet your single to win as well!

Single picks (AKA Single) can and should also be Value Odds horses who are running in the preferred class level or surface (see list below).

The reason to try to get a Value Odds horse as a winning single is that most of the time these horses will win at big odds thus putting you in line to cash a pick 4 that pays very well.

If you have been watching our "Handicapping Videos" then you already know what type of races to look for in order to have a higher than average chance for a Value Odds or overlay winner:

If you miss the pick 4 in one of the other 3 races with a big odds single you will at least have the win ticket money as your consolation! A very nice consolation it will be in most cases as well!

Another thing to note is that you are going to come across races that are going to have more than one qualifying horse for an angle. This will not happen all the time but it will happen often enough. There are a few things you can do when this happens. You can pass the race if you want.

If there are 2 horses that qualify in the same race you can still play the race by using them both instead of a single. Also bet them both to win or instead. If there are more than two it gets too complicated so just pass the race completely.

Always remember the basic money management rule. Never bet more than 1% to 2% of your total bankroll on any one race. range.

It is suggested that you have a separate bankroll just for pick 4's.
